During the development of its new facility in Batam, Caterpillar initially planned to install revolving doors from established European brands such as Dormakaba. Following multiple rounds of technical evaluations, commercial comparisons, and supplier assessments, the client selected PAD as the preferred solution provider.
The project represents an important milestone for us, demonstrating the ability of a Chinese entrance systems manufacturer to compete successfully in demanding international industrial environments where safety, reliability, and long-term performance are critical.
To meet the operational requirements of a modern industrial facility, PAD developed a customized revolving door solution tailored to Caterpillar's site management and safety standards.

The revolving door system incorporates intelligent access control functionality to support one-way pedestrian traffic management, helping improve site security and personnel flow control within the facility.

Emergency safety integration:
The system is equipped with emergency evacuation functionality and can automatically switch operating modes when connected to the building's fire safety system, supporting safe and efficient evacuation procedures in accordance with local safety requirements.
From engineering design in Shanghai to final installation in Batam, the project demonstrated our ability to deliver customized entrance solutions for globally recognized industrial clients. By combining product customization, technical expertise, and responsive project support, PAD successfully provided an alternative to established European brands and further strengthened its presence in international industrial and commercial markets.
