The Nyerere Hotel is a landmark five-star hotel in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, developed by China Railway Construction Engineering Group as a flagship project of China-Tanzania economic cooperation. As a high-end international business hotel, the project required an entrance solution that could complement the building's impressive twin-tower architecture. It also required to deliver efficient pedestrian flow, long-term durability, and reliable performance under local climate conditions and heavy daily usage.
Drawing on its extensive experience in automatic entrance systems and international projects, PAD was selected to provide the customized design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of the hotel's three-wing automatic revolving door system.
Customized design for a prestigious hotel entrance
To match the architectural style and positioning of the hotel, PAD developed a customized three-wing automatic revolving door featuring a high-strength alloy frame and transparent tempered glass. The dimensions and curvature of the door were carefully tailored to the building entrance, creating a welcoming and elegant appearance while maintaining smooth pedestrian circulation. Wind-resistant and dust-resistant design features were also incorporated to suit local environmental conditions.
Precision manufacturing and international installation
The revolving door was manufactured in accordance with strict quality control procedures to ensure dimensional accuracy and operational reliability. PAD's installation team travelled to Tanzania to complete on-site assembly, testing, and commissioning, successfully overcoming the challenges of international logistics and local construction conditions to ensure efficient project delivery.
Proven reliability with long-term support
Since installation, the revolving door has operated reliably for more than 8 years. During this period, only one minor issue occurred as a result of accidental misuse by a child. After the hotel contacted PAD using the information provided in the product documentation, PAD's technical team immediately provided remote video support and guided local personnel through the troubleshooting process. The issue was resolved quickly without requiring an overseas service visit, demonstrating the effectiveness of PAD's long-term technical support capabilities.
The successful completion of the Nyerere Hotel project provided the client with a durable and visually impressive entrance solution while further strengthening the reputation of PAD in international markets.
