Center-hung pivot doors open with less effort and handle wind pressure better than standard floor spring doors, especially on larger swing-door entrances. Some of their main features include:
Large Entrance Access
Since there is no exposed floor track, the door avoids bottom-track friction and opens with very little noise. It is suitable for entrances that need a quieter environment.
The doorway doesn't have floor tracks, so wheelchairs, strollers, and carts pass through smoothly without getting caught.
A single door leaf can support a wide opening, with a maximum height of 5 m and a maximum width of 1.3 m. It is suitable for entrances that need to move large equipment or allow several people to pass through at the same time.
Compared with standard floor spring doors, center-hung pivot doors are more suitable for large swing doors exposed to wind pressure.
Better Space Adaptability
The bottom track is not exposed, so the door line looks cleaner. When paired with glass, the entrance can keep a bright and transparent appearance.
Since center-hung pivot doors don't have a floor track, dust and small objects are less likely to gather near the doorway, and the floor remains flat for easier cleaning and maintenance.
Maintenance and Long Service Life
The top hardware carries the weight of the door, eliminating reliance on floor friction during opening and closing, which reduces wear and extends the door’s service life.
Main hardware components are placed at the top, so inspection and replacement can be handled without damaging the floor, which also makes the work less complicated.
